ROLLING IN

watching a storm roll in is one of my favorite things to do. 

watching the storms roll in over the ranch is even better.

BARCELONA

sometimes it still sounds crazy when i say out-loud that i lived in barcelona, spain for two years. crazy right?! 

i was flipping through picture albums on facbeook a few nights ago, and came across one filled with pictures and memories from the time i spent in spain. 

the picture above, is from the street i lived on- lined with trees; no cars allowed; so cute!

if i had to pick one thing i miss from my time in europe, it would be that we walk everywhere. i didnt have a car or a television for the two years i spent in barcelona- there was always an outdoor activity or cute new bakery/ coffee shop/ beach restaurant to visit. exploring the city like a local, weaving in and out of the cobblestone streets was one of my favorite things to do.

this month i will be checking off a little box on my bucket list... 
becoming a yoga instructor!

training starts this month. and to be prepared, i am dedicating more time per week to strengthen my practice and focus on the little things. like the headstand. 
having a strong base and starting without a wall to 'cheat' with was important to me...
 so my dear friend and amazing yoga/pilates instructor ms brittany was kind enough to teach me the foundation this past weekend...  thanks to her (and a few core muscles!!) i was upside-down in no time!

MAZEL TOV

yesterday in a far away land, my dear friend hagar tied the knot to the love of her life!!

hagar, you know my heart was with you on your special day- but oceans, airline strikes and timing kept me from being there. 

i could not be happier for these two love birds- sending you hugs and love from afar!

its september. and fall was supposed to set in this past weekend.. but apparently in texas the beginning of fall still means 100+ degree weather. 
so much for boots, jeans, scarfs and layers... at least for now.
