BEACH BAG

the countdown is on... (yes i have an app for that on my phone too!!)

at the end of the month SP and i are headed on a vacation for two to white sandy beaches, away from technology and work! 

can't believe its only a few weeks away now... which means time to get my summer beach essentials in order. 

first things first: its time to update my beach bag of choice. 

since i can remember my mom has always folded up her classic longchamp bag to bring to the beach as a carryall for books, games, sunglasses, etc. it has a zipper across the top to keep the sand out. my sister and i adopted the same tradition as frequent beach lovers and long champ carriers as well. 

maybe its the black, maybe its just time for an update, either way i'm on the hunt for a new beach tote. 

i found a few, but still cant decide. i would LOVE to know what your favorite summer/beach bag of choice is!

TEQUILA

while in mexico, tequila is not a question, but more like a necessity. especially if you plan on drinking all day, go for the tequila to save some calories!
my sister was the instigator behind most every shot we took on the beach last week. so i had to document just how fun it is to watch her endure taking a shot... classic! 

A Week at the Beach

This past week The Lane's were all together- at the beach. 
We arrived to thunderstorms, rain (lots of it) and crazy winds. The most rain (19" of rain, the most they had seen in years!)
For two days we played games in doors, watch movies, cooked, read and drove each other crazy.. indoors! The house was raised on stilts, so we were able to retreat there and come up with 'make-shift' beach games... we had to get creative!


By day three the clouds parted, the rain let up and the sun came out! It made for a great week of beach, family and down time!
We are so blessed to have a family who likes to spend time and vacation together- Already looking forward to next year:)

Together

Please excuse the lack of posting this week.. The Lanes (ALL OF US) are at the beach together. 
We arrived to a national weather disaster...14'' of rain in two days. We were all thinking the same thing: this house is going to get really small, really fast if the sun doesn't make an appearance soon! 


Thankfully, by midmorning yesterday, the sun pushed away enough clouds and we couldn't get our toes in the sand quick enough. That is where you will find us the rest of the week- Together, on the beach.

The Beach

The Lane Girls have made it an annual tradition to take a week together and enjoy the peace and quiet. We all like to vacation the same way... no plan. Sit. Read. Relax and drink! 

This year we headed south of the border to Mexico-- just before the Spring Break crowd arrived-- we had a week of pure relaxation, toes in the sand, drinks in hand and togetherness! 

I am truly thankful my mom and sister are my best friends- Love you both millions.
