Happy Monday and welcome back to this weeks edition of the JOSHUA CODE.

Here is this weeks verses:

w e e k -  t w e n t y  s i x

" For the LORD does not see as man sees;
for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

1  s a m u e l  1 6 : 7
. . .

"Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the
thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." (Genesis 6:5)

"[The LORD] was grieved in His heart.'"(Genesis 6:6)

"Then the LORD said in His heart, 'I will'." (Genesis 8:21)

It is God Himself, at our conversation, who takes that old heart of ours and give us one that is brand-new. For He said, "I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart." (Jeremiah 24:7)

'As you memorize this verse, meditate on the truth, that while man may look on the outward appearance, God is looking upon our hearts. He is mindful of our thoughts, our emotions, and our will. Today is a good time to 'return to the LORD with all your hearts' (1 Samuel 7:3). And that is the real heart of the matter'.

O N E  |  T W O  |   T H R E E  |  F O U R  |  F I V E  |  S I X

seems like there are all things tassel and fringe everywhere right now!
which is why i have my eye on this pretty little white number from topshop. you can't really see the fringe across the bottom in the above picture, but if you look closely … its there!!
also, i've been on the hunt for a good pair of denim shorts/romper combination. when i saw these on sale on the other morning, i knew it was calling my name!

last week on 'currently loving' i highlighted a few of my favorite things from … i still can't get over how cure their things are and how amazing the prices are to boot - so this bag made my list this week!

last but not least.. have you heard of puravida bracelets?!
i've had my eye on the 'yoga girl' stack, and as soon as they were back in stock i placed my order. i wear them all the time - they are cute and fresh for the summer .. a portion of the proceeds from your purchase of this pack goes towards the barncancerfonden charity, which works towards eradicating childhood cancer through care and support of children and their families.
they are currently out of stock of this particular stack.. but on the bright side, you can use this code: 'GRAJALES10' for 10% off your next purchase!!

Happy Monday and welcome back to this weeks edition of the JOSHUA CODE.

Here is this weeks verses:

w e e k -  t w e n t y  f i v e

" 'Therefore, whether you eat or drink,
or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."

1  c o r i n t h i a n s  1 0 : 3 1
. . .

Ask yourself these three important questions:

'As you memorize this verse, medicate on the truth of God's Word:
"In everything give thanks."
"Whatever you do… do it in the name of the Lord Jesus."
"Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."
And don't forget to ask yourself - Can I thank God for it? Can I do it in Jesus' name? Can I do it for God's glory?

We are on week 24 of the JOSHUA CODE.

Here is this weeks verses:

w e e k -  t w e n t y  f o u r

" 'A new commandement I give to you, that you love one another;
as I have loved you, that you also love one another."

J o h n  1 3 : 3 4
. . .

A NEW RULE  -  'A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you'

A NATURAL REACTION - 'as I have loved your, that you also love one another.'

' What is the result of this type of love? The very next verse is explicit: "By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.' (John 13:35). Perhaps John put it best when he said, "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves id born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love" (1 John 4:7-8). This longtime recipient of Christ's love added, " We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren" (1 John 3:14).
Yes, love is the Christian life. It is in the oxygen of the kingdom. It is the acid test of our own discipleship. God did not write in the sky or send a tract in order to reveal His love for us. He sent His Son. Love did that. He demonstrated His love to us.
As you memorize this verse, medicate on the fact that the Bible reveals a picture of real love to us in everything Jesus said and did. OUr challenge is not to obey the 'new commandment' by loving others on this higher level of love, in the same way Jesus loves. us.'

We are on week 23 of the JOSHUA CODE.

Here is this weeks verses:

w e e k -  t w e n t y  t h r e e

" 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, with all your strength, and with
all your mind', and 'your neighbor as yourself'."

 L u k e  1 0 : 2 7
. . .

OUR GRATITUDE  - 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind'.

OUR ACTIONS -  '[love] your neighbor as yourself'.

'Everything has a primary purpose. The real question is "Are we fulfilling God's primary purpose in our lives by obeying the greatest of all the commandments?'
As you memorize this verse, meditate on the fact that this commandment from the lips of our Lord is so powerful that, in this one verse, He put all the Ten Commandments: 'Love the LORD… and… your neighbor as yourself".'

We are on week 22 of the JOSHUA CODE.

Here is this weeks verses:

w e e k -  t w e n t y  t w o

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.."

1  J o h n   1 : 9

. . .

FORGIVENESS IS CONDITIONAL  "if we confess our sins"

FORGIVENESS IS CONTINUAL "if we confess our sins"

True confection leads to true forgiveness!

'As you memorize this verse, meditate on the wonderful way God has made for us has made for us to live a life free from sins of the guilt that shackle so many. He dealt with our sin once and for all on the cross. He now deals with our sins by cleansing us in response to our conditional confession. As God brings issues to your mind during times of devotion and mediation, agree with Him and live in the solid promise that is yours in 1 John 1:9: "He is faithful and just to forgive".'
