black friday sales are everywhere today, but i am so excited to spend my birthday with family and friends and all things golden (i'm thinking gold decorations at dinner are appropriate!?)

GAME DAY

it's game day recap on the blog today along with photo overload!

the whole family braved the weather and we all drove up to stillwater, ok for the biggest game in the big 12 this year - baylor vs. osu. 

it was a family and house divided some were osu grads, some baylor grads. we all played well together but it was a battle for sure! (its a good thing we all know how to tailgate long enough leading up to the game!)  it was so so so cold on saturday, we bundled up and warmed up with a few hottie toddies before the game - but between the wind and the sad baylor loss it was hard to keep warm. 

it was so fun to have the whole family together for the weekend to enjoy some football, friendly competition and sp and my family got to meet! what better way to meet than at a tailgate and drinks in hand.... it's how we do things in our families i guess;)

one of nearest and dearest friends is obsessed with any and all foxes... including her husband whom she calls her fox:) anyway... 

there are so many foxy things everywhere lately, so i decided to make a mama and baby fox must have gift list. there were just too  many things to choose from and somehow i ended up picking 13 items on each list. the fox tea-towels are defiantly my favorite! and the 'hidden fox' mugs make a great gift to any mamma fox lover! as for a favorite item on the baby fox list?! the pacifier clips are the best thing - they were all the rage when we lived in germany... so excited to see they have made it across the ocean!

it only took a few short weeks for the colors in dallas to change to the most beautiful fall colors!

i was outside yesterday enjoying the fall weather (80 degrees?!) and snapped a few pictures of some of the colors around my house these days. the yellows and reds get me in the fall mood every time. you take what you can when the weather and season are not cooperating!!

as i was flipping through the pictures i was inspired to coordinate a few outfits with the same colors. 

sometimes its fun to just add a few colors into your seasonal wardrobe that are not investment pieces but fun to mix and match with as the season change!

mine is champagne. 

if i had to pick my all time favorite champagne drink, it would just be straight bubbles, super chilled in a pretty glass. second would be a glass of bubbles with a splash of st. germain. it adds just a little hint of sweet and girly!

i have a bad tendency to just keep going back for my favorite coffee in town:

trust me, its amazing!

on the daily my bag is more crowded than the few items listed above 

but these are the staples that i never take out of my bag! 

additionally i almost always have a koozie with me (camo of course).  a yoga teaching script and a bottle of essential oil (normally lavender). its great to dab on your wrist when you need a clam moment and i like using it at the end of a yoga class when i give the students a nice shoulder massage.

MUSTANGS AND BLOG UPDATES

there is just something about these wild mustangs i cannot get enough of. 

when i am at the ranch, i always look forward to riding along in the truck and heading out to feed and count the wild mustangs, at least once during a visit. 

even if it means opening and closing the gates along the way!

driving into a pasture and watching these beautiful mustangs run in from all corners is fascinating. 

once they see or hear the truck, its like the dinner bell goes off and they come running as fast as they can to get their first! now, from some of the pictures your might be able to see some of the mustangs have their ears back... they are full of energy with a little side of mean-ness. reminder, therese mustangs are completely wild, not an ounce of tame in their body! so they will 'fight', kick, bite and stomp to make it to the feed first. 

hope you enjoy these pictures- they make me smile just looking back at them!
